Volunteer your time

"With accessible transport, life becomes full of possibilities - including equalities and choices. Life and trust are then restored."
Roger, a founder member of Norwich Door to Door and membership trustee.

Getting a passenger in a wheel chair on the busVolunteers gift their services to the group that they work with. Volunteer opportunities with us today include Mini Bus Drivers and Passenger Assistants. Volunteers always work with another team member and you can choose to work one or two days a week or a half day a week/fortnight. All volunteers are Criminal Record Bureau checked and fully referenced before training begins. Once you have joined us we offer out of pocket expenses.

Volunteers are an important part of the Norwich Door to Door charity and its success. We have a great need for Volunteer Passenger Assistants and Mini bus Drivers as we are continuing to grow and develop.

A few new faces to join our charity trustees - people who would be willing to help push forward new developments and get passionate about equality, share their skills in business - help with marketing perhaps -would be most welcome.

We work with volunteers from all walks of life - home maker volunteers, volunteers who are in full or part time work - volunteers just retired and job seeking volunteers. You might have specific skills you wish to share with us - we have volunteers Margaret and Marrian who work on our recycled "Greetings card project" - We promote & organise the 100 Club, sells second hand books and run our events. Jon advises when I get into trouble with I.T. problems and the challenges therein! Our Committe and friends organised our incredibly successful Charity Summer Ball and raised £10,300 - If you have the time and want to join a proactive and enthusiastic group, who love what they do call us today. We are passionate about easing the social exclusion that so many adults and children face - it could be your friends/neighbours or family.
