Fundraising Tips for Sponsored Walk

Here is some useful information on how to fundraise to help disabled people access the transport they need.

Create an online fundraising page

Set up your fundraising page with virgin money giving. Set up your personalised fundraising page, then email it to everyone you know so they can sponsor you online.

Collect the sponsorship straight away

People will sponsor you as a total pledge, so ask them for the money there and then – they won’t be offended and it saves you the work of collecting it afterwards. Download a sponsorship form.

Remind your sponsors to tick the Gift Aid box

If they are eligible, and to fill in their complete address. This enables Norwich Door to Door to claim tax relief on your hard-earned funds.

Does your employer have matched-giving?

It’s a simple way of doubling your sponsorship. Companies like to contribute this way, and it makes tax sense.
