Events 2017

We have had a number of lovely events throughout the year, allowing us the opportunity to fundraise and socialise, making friends and establishing some great contacts along the way.

In July we held our summer fete at the Sir Isaac Newton College. It was a very pleasant afternoon for all involved and we enjoyed coming together to raise funds for Norwich Door to Door. We were delighted and honoured that the Lord Mayor of Norwich attended the event.  Following the summer fete we hosted a special summer afternoon tea at the Great Hospital. This was for staff and volunteers and a wonderful opportunity for us to gather socially to celebrate our 25th anniversary.

We have a number of exciting events lined up in the autumn and winter.

30th September – Courtesy of the West Norwich Lions, we look forward to the annual Cabaret that they host for us. Always guaranteed to keep us in stitches and hugely entertained! Acts include singalongs, recitals and dancing. Tickets £4, children free and refreshments will be on sale. Doors open at 2pm for a 2.30pm start. Please call the office to book tickets and transport if needed.

21st October – Show Song Ensemble by the Poringland Singers. we look forward to this wonderful opportunity to enjoy the choir’s top singers perform some favourite show tunes. Tickets are £5 and refreshments will be on sale. Venue and time tbc.

2nd December – Race Night hosted by the West Norwich Lions for Norwich Door to Door. We look forward to this exciting evening which is to be held at the Costessey Community Hall, 7pm – 10pm.  More details to follow.

9th December – Christmas Concert to be held at the beautiful Peter Mancroft Church in the city. Hosted and performed by the Poringland Singers, this is a wonderful evening and the perfect opportunity to feel the Christmas spirit. Mince pies and mulled wine served at the end of the concert. Further details to follow.
