Walk Check List


    • Comfortable clothing/layers
    • Waterproof/windproof outer jacket
    • Boots or trainers with good sole pattern 

When you’re resting, you may need more layers than when you’re on the move. Several thin layers give good insulation and can be adjusted for different terrain and weather conditions.


    • Comfortable daysack
    • Food and water and a warm drink
    • Some extra energy-giving food and emergency rations

Refreshments and Breaks

You are responsible for providing your own refreshments during the walk. 

You are welcome to use the toilets in:

    • Whitlingahm Visitors Centre
    • Surlingham Ferry
    • The New Inn in Rockland St Mary
    • Beauchamp Arms in Langley
    • Loddon Staithe Car Park


Food is available for purchase:

    • Surlingham Ferry in Surlingham, are offering a special price for  walkers “Before 1pm” meal deal where walkers can get a Bacon Roll or Cheese Roll or for £2.50, Chips £1, Cheese Chips £2, Tea or Coffee £1, Water 50p.

All can be eaten there or take away.  Able to call ahead and order: 07929 059604 / 01502 538689.  Dog friendly pub.
